I have lived in Wales for over 30 years. I used to teach IT to adults, but after being made redundant in October 2008, I now teach a beginner's course in creative writing. I also write SF and fantasy. I've sold a few short stories, but have yet managed to break through to sell a novel.

I also take photographs and after completing an OU photography course in 2007, I joined Flickr, which keeps me on my toes and encourages me to take more and better pictures.

But my thoughts about writing, photography and who knows what else can be found over in my Livejournal. This Dreamwidth blog is about my attempts to cross the bridge from being a competent learner to a fluent and confident speaker of Welsh. I have also reached the final year of the BA Education degree that I've been studying for part-time, which means I have to do some research and write a dissertation. I'm planning to look at the effectiveness of the local Welsh classes for adults.
